I STILL BELIEVE IN THE DOLPHINS!

Other news in the NFL  . . . .The Miami Dolphins have extended linebacker Cameron Wake's contract through the 2016 season. Wake had one year and $650,000 left on his previous deal. ESPN is reporting the extension is worth $49 million, with $20 million guaranteed.

Analysis: Wake has 28 sacks and four forced fumbles with Miami after coming to the Dolphins from the Canadian Football League, where he was a two-time defensive player of the year. GOOD CALL MIAMI! MAKE IT HAPPEN THIS YEAR---I STILL BELIEVE IN THE DOLPHINS!

Redskins say Griffin already starting QB

ASHBURN, Va. (AP) No sense fooling around with a talent like Robert Griffin III. Barely a week after the draft, the Washington Redskins are already proclaiming the Heisman Trophy winner their No. 1 quarterback.
Saying that Griffin has the ability to do things no one else has done in the NFL, coach Mike Shanahan wrapped up a rookie minicamp Sunday by putting RGIII squarely atop the depth chart.
"He's the starter. Period," Shanahan said.

Head Trauma and Suicide??!!??

Hey fellow football fans---
So sad to hear about Junior Seau . . . . I hate that this is happening. It does seem that there is a connection between head injuries and suicide-even though there is no medical evidence yet.  I read an article and this is by no means the first incident where a past athlete who has suffered head trauma has then committed suicide. I know it's not proven yet or anything, but it sure does seem a little more than coincidental. I pray for the families of those who have lost loved ones to suicide. There did not seem to be any rhyme or reason to Seau's suicide. His family is going to donate his brain to research on the study of the correlation between head injury and suicide. I pray that there is an answer soon and more measures are taken to help players get better information and protection.
Let me know your thoughts--would love to have a conversation with anyone who has knowledge  about this situation. And I pray that anyone dealing with this gets the help they need. God Bless, Jennifer
